Mark & Cassie Schroer
Founders of Schroer Medical Clinic
What started as a dream in my hometown is now a clinic my family built by hand. We are proud to provide quality, affordable care to everyone in need.
A Long-Held Dream
Owning a clinic in my hometown had always been my dream. My husband, Mark, was tired of watching me pour myself into other businesses without appreciation, so he and my mother went looking for a location we could renovate into a clinic of our own. We bought a hundred-year-old home, and with family and friends, we turned it into the clinic ourselves.
All In
My entire famliy worked long hours and help build what we have now.
My husband and I went all in with our own funds to get a business loan. Barbara Dixon at Southern Bancorp took a leap of faith with us. Emily Vaught's was a friend and mentor our buisness venture. I worked two days a week out of Emily's clinic in Horatio while ours was being renovated so that my patients would have the care they need.
It Came Together
Renovating a hundred-year-old house came with its share of construction delays, and our opening date kept moving, but it all came together in God's time.
Jennifer Buenrostro-Oros and Kristina Lovell, my first employees, helped me build and grow from ground zero. They are good friends who continue to work hard and contribute to the growth of Schroer Medical Clinic
Today we're a welcoming, faith-based clinic with a team that truly cares and is willing to go the extra mile.
The compliments from the community and knowing we've made a difference are what contiune to motivate us.
